4. MAN-MACHINE COLLABORATION

 

The paradigm of automation is changing. The concept to change is that it should be less of the "Man vs Machine" to "How Man Can Take Advantage of the Machine". An experience in the area of management succession has recently been carried out. The board of directors of a multinational company asked the management to take a set of CV's of employees and classify them, according to their understanding, in order to be able to assume certain positions in the company in the future (1 - very unlikely, 5 - most likely). The results were loaded onto a computer.

The following step: The computer was programmed to analyze the entire HR information system of the company, to suggest employees that were not in the initial set of CVs but that were comparable to the profiles of the employees with higher ratings. Man and machine working together to create a more complete solution.
